Is Domain Authority still Useful for SEO?
Hi Folks,
I have heard and read somewhere that in 2016, domain authority is meaning nothing. Google many times changed their algorithm, but Moz remained in a Stone Age. As the result, in 2016 the MOZ metrics are completely meaningless for SEO purpose. Thousands domains with high DA are Google penalized or banned. How rightful is that importance? Your comments are welcome. |
Domain authority is a measure of " how good is your site , compared to others ". The more incoming and outbound links to higher authority sites, more will be the DA. 30-40 is average DA. Anything about 40 is good. Anything above 50 is excellent.
45-55 is average PA (of your homepage). Anything above 50 is good, anything about 60 is excellent. |
I think domain authority is still important for the website but we also do not ignore that Google already penalized thousands of domains with high DA.
I am wondering, why MOZ metrics are getting wrong. |
good post, thanks
