In this news item Jaya, a scholarship holder of Abheda Foundation, rescues a girl Anjali from her undue burden of supporting an abjectly poor family.
At a tender age of 10 Anjali began working in a brickfield near Canning, West Bengal, and had been carrying bricks since then apart from doing cooking duties.
This cost her education, the report says. Jaya requested the principal of her own school to admit Anjali to the school free of cost.
And on some plea the principal allowed Anjali's admission. The real struggle began then as Jaya persuaded Anjali’s ailing father to pull Anjali out of her ‘duties’ at the brickfield. Finally she is successful.
