Canonical issues arise when over URL may be used to deliver the same resource. Most canonical issues are caused by forgiving agents and excessively tolerant servers as given a set of rules, these machines assume that although you asked for B, you wanted A. So it gives you the content of A, as though it is actually B. Fixing canonical bugs is achieved by the systematic removal or overriding of those assumptions.

When website opens in both version with www or without www it means there is a canonical error in the site. The website should be open in the only one version.
