Google Sandbox effect is new algorithm introduced by Google which can be used to filter new website on Google for particular keywords. This algorithm is introduced because spammers use tactics to get rank their website on Google.

The Google Sandbox is a theory used to explain why newly-registered domains or domains with frequent ownership changes rank poorly in Google Search Engine Result Pages.

I hate that crap. When the site is new, it takes few months for that site to propagate through all the Google servers in order for spiders to crawl. What I do when I start new site, I buy domain with many years and just 301 it to my new site. I find it to work well. You have to be careful with the domain you buy, make sure it is not banned.
