Should I remove old written content from my website that does not get much views, not seen much, not in a prime area of the site, and is of somewhat low use to the reader?

I am not sure, I mean it will not harm you if you start updating them better than removing them at all after google indexed them... make use of this index and update the content to be better and shareeeeeeeeee!
