Article links are better as content plays a major role to rank keywords in search engines. They help to generate organic traffic to your website.

Article links are better than Forum links !!!! It plays a major role in search engines .

As per me both article and forum links are important...

both are useful to rank well you can say that both has their own worth to increase google SERP's

Both (Article Links and Forum Links ) are effective to get more traffic on the site but I think Article links are more effective than Forum Links.

Depending on authority of site suppose that you are getting a forum link from a pR 3 website and getting PR 6 through article submission so then of course the PR 6 link is higher.

Its not about Forum or article submission , its about authority

It does not matter, link is a link. There formula, how much "juice" floats to the page and how many links are coming out of the page. Simple math. Link must be dofollow to give you anything. At the same time, you cannot have all do follows.
