How would you identify the cuase of a Google penilty?

I would like to know what steps you need to take in order to find out what what penilty your website has been hit with.

Just to be clear I am not talking about manual penilties that you can check in google search console. I am specifically refering to google algorithm updates.

For example if you have been hit by panda how would you identify and fix it.

1) Panda hit usually happens due to low quality content, poor SEO stricture and few other factors.

2) Penguin hit usually happens due to low quality link and bad linking (Internal and external)

Once you determine which algorithm caused penalty to your site, it will be easier to take constructive steps and get out of Google penalty.

Very good answer. The question is how do you determine by which you have been affected by.

If you suddenly see a traffic drop, you’ll have to find out what caused it. There are two main penalties you can get. The first one is a manual action from Google’s spam team, and the second one is an algorithmic penalty.
