How much does domain age matter in google? I have heard that google des not give young websites much preference over the older ones regardless the content, is this true? i doubt that.

Domain Age is one of the important factor in Google rankings. However, it is not the only factor for getting ranked.

Note: Domain Authority factor is given only by Moz, not by Google

I think it matters a great deal. The older your domain is the authority it has.
