Showing 404 response error on your website page can affect your website promotion as the google crawler will index the webpage erroneously.

404 pages means that pages is not exit. 404 page is harmful for the site. you should check your site links, if this pages is shown in google webmasters tool.

yes it will. the best thing you can do is to redirect the 404 page to an updated relevant page using 301 redirect.
