Please help me to know that what is the Alexa Rank?

Alexa rank is based on a site's traffic. So the more traffic you get on your site the higher ranking you'll get on Alexa.

Alexa is one of the leading internet statistics engines. It keeps a "top billion" chart, where every webpage on the planet has its place. Beginning with Google and Facebook, it goes all the way down to the gazillionth site no one knows about. It's a chart that gives you insight on how your business is doing through calculating the popularity of your site.

Alexa ranking is the rank set by Alexa. Its gives country based rank to your website as well as Global rank too.

alexa ranking is the overall ranking of your website. it shows the activities that you do for your website.

Alexa measures the traffic count on your website. It is a service by Alexa and is measured by their own algorithm. Alexa rank helps to know the popularity of your website in search engines.

Like "ketul" said, I also find Alexa not helpful at all. The statistics that I get from Google Analytics are way off from Alexas'. At one point my Alexa ranking was 680,000 when my site had only about 1,000 visitor a day. But when my site traffic increased to 2,500 - 4,000, my Alexa ranking increased to 1.5 million instead of reducing. I kind of got confused. (I understand that more websites could have come up online but the discrepancy was too big).
