Is Anchor Tag Useful..??

Does linking through Anchor Tag helps the particular keyword in get on top of search results..?? Help me sort it out as i am a bit confused in this stuff

Yes i think anchor Tag is useful for getting your site ranked in search engine.

When you need to get ranking for a particular keyword you need to create back links by that keyword, to do this you need anchor tag.
