How Facebook is used to get more traffic for a website?

How I do is to post fresh content on my website and then past the content link on my Facebook page. The fans of the Facebook page click on link and come to website to check the content.

I am also use facebook for get more traffic on my site.

creating a fan page alone does not guaranty that you will get traffic you also need to ensure that you build friend base well well the more friends you have more traffic you can attract.and be careful about the bots as well which is the biggest problem these days. how ever you can use facebook advertising if you have good amount of money
