my domain expired

I want to know about domain that is If my domain expired and I will renew after 6 months then what will be my domain age? will it be counted from my domain purchase date or will it be counted from renewal date I am confused. Please help me regarding this matter. thanks in advance.......

You cannot renew your domain name after 6 months from expiry date. Your domain name will be deleted after 40 days of expiration. Then anyone can register the same domain name. You can find the domain age or current registrant of a domain name by having a whois search at WhoisXY.com . Good luck.
