I heard that recently "Content Marketing" is the new strategy of being on top of the SERP. But how to perform it effectively, Do we have to write long informative content or short focused content and is regular posting good, if yes then how many posts do i have to post regularly?

Actually in recent time, Content is King and backlinks are queen. I suggest you if want to work on this strategy than post some unique not regular article like other write. Doesn't matter quantity. And target your keywords in that article. Then see, your ranking as well as traffic will be boost.

Content marketing is about developing valuable content for the specific target group(s) your website or blog is focusing on. It's obvious: having content which is appreciated by target group, will generate traffic, likes, hopefully leads and (depending on your product or service) conversion.

Surveys show that content marketing is being used in the B2B and B2C-markets as well.

SEO on the other hand, will establish that the content will be found by search-engines.

In practice the two largely coincide in activities like page optimization, attractive page design, landing page design, etc.
