Wikipedia Backlinks
 
Hi All,

Just wanna ask you guys, is there anybody have experience backlinking with wikipedia? is it good or google just ignore them.

External links from Wikipedia is no-follow so in terms of backlink building, Wikipedia backlinks has no significant. But I personally feel that Google might count the back-link from wikipedia as it is really trusted and good source and if wikipedia reference any website, it must be good quality and to to the subject as well.

Wikipedia links are nofollow so in simple way it is not useful for SEO. But I don't buy the nofollow-dofollow logic of Google so I think Google consider links from reputed sources whether is no-follow or do-follow.

Actually this technique will be helpful to increase your website traffic not for ranking because the backlinks gets from Wikipedia are Nofollows
