There are no any good technique by which you can get instant keyword ranking. it depends your quality of content and quality of backlinks. if your site is good and unique, you will get keywords ranking soon.

Fast accessing of your keywords is mainly based on your content only...It must be unique and never had been copied from anyone others yet. Always give importance to post original content which is to be post by yourself.

To rank the keywords in a short time, the techniques can be used are
Posting classifieds sites
Forum posting
Blog commenting
social bookmarking submission

Improving your Ranking than quality off page work and good work for onpage (metatag,alt tag,sitemap.xml, unique content etc.)

There is no such technique to rank high overnight. you have to work constantly and in right direction.

However, to fasten up the process, you can, write a good title, description, quality content, do some onpage changes, and get your site submitted in Google or place reconsideration request.
Apart from these keep doing some offpage activities like geting quality backlinks from relevant sites and high pr sites, do forum posting, blog commenting, classified ads, etc.

If your keywords having high competition then it will take time and for that need to do pure quality work.

But starting from less competitive and long tail keywords will help you get ranking soon.
