I think Forums posting, Press Release submission, Article submission, Guest blogging and SMO are the best in 2013.

I would vote guest blogging as absolutely high. One post in a guest blog with RELEVANT NICHE can make all the difference. I was on google page 2 and moved to 8th position with just one link. Mind you it is way difficult to move even one position when you are in top 1-3 pages. Write unique articles in a high PR, Authority, Trust blog.
