Forums or Blogs?
 

I am wondering some time about difference of blog and forums. People ask me many times that which is better to blog or to forum? But I think both are powerful to build a good relationship with visitors and getting good amount of traffic also.

Blogs are simply like I speak and you listen and forums are collaboration with others. Both are gives good amount of traffic and backlinks for your site. Blogs are giving inforamtion one to many with site owner the majority of posts allow users to submit comments. Forum are giving inforamtion many to many where including share topics, questions, problems, experience.

But question is still that which is better. So I like to hearing from you guys which is better in all the ways?

Yes you are right.Both are beneficial for SEO.Blog and Forums is a good way to increase quality backlinks.

Both are important techniques of link building.You can get fast backlinks by using both techniques.But I think forum posting is slightly better than blogs if you are using it in right way.

Forums are very much important thing in the ranking any website well. It is more valuable than the blogs as it provide back links from broad base and it is more helpful for the website. These also play a inseparable role in deriving the traffic to the website so I consider forum commenting better then blogs.

I do prefer blogs to myself writing/individual content creators. Because blog is a easy thing to manage but forums are not so easy as blogs to manage the things.

Forums and blogs also play the important role in SEO. In my own I prefer forums than blogs cause blogs often are nofollow links, forums have updated content daily with lots of comments from users so links seem to be natural and be indexed more often

I think the person above got it wrong. Blogs are more important than forums. Blog have alot more content around them then you just responding to random blogs with your anchor text in your post or your signature.

I think forum posting is better than blog commenting

Make sure the forum are dofollow links. You are wasting time by going to nofollow links and posting.

They are different to each other, if your blog is popular and it has good page rank than 4 article updated is enough in that blog. And forum posting is quite simple, dont need more content make signature and reply to thread. Its even better
