You used a "Bad" Word in your post, please rewrite it and try again.

Hi SiteOwners,

I was replying to a post but got this message, "You used a "Bad" Word in your post, please rewrite it and try again." However, I could see no "bad" words that I had written?!

Is this a glitch, does anyone else have this problem lately, or is there a list of "bad" words where I can check what mine was??

Thanks!

wakee456 09-28-2011 12:29 PM

You have only 5 posts . You should check all your posts very deeply .

This is probably what happen when you typed your post, what some of the board have are words that will not appear in the post say something like this ( t --- i ---- t) spread out for obvious reasons, and if you have a word with that text in it; it will say you have a bad word, say this word ( t --- i ---t) alating which is an actual word, but was blocked.

austenhepburn 12-01-2011 07:52 AM

"You used a "Bad" Word in your post, please rewrite it and try again."

I agree in this idea. WE should be professionals in all the way.

sergeyk 07-02-2012 03:38 PM

Hello. If you had a bad word, just to try to rewrite it and paraphrase it. Its better than to type it and use it in some thread. You need to understand that your post will be read by many users. So, it should be properly written.

Vercors 07-03-2012 01:08 AM

I'm report the same.
Saved empty post and after edited.

ptfetapes 07-03-2012 01:11 AM

Ya we agree with you, almost every professional will agree to this.

manojob 07-04-2012 10:38 PM

We have to follow the rules and regulations of the forum. We should not use bad words on the forums. We have to read the rules carefully before posting in the forums.

I got the same thing. I did try to figure out what word it might be but after changing about ten different words, none of which seemed like an issue, I gave up and am hoping a moderator will help to clarify what a "bad" word is ...

awel 11-21-2013 05:20 PM

Oh now i got what "bad words" means :) Man You can directly send a msg like "Your post count at least must be 10" or something like that :)

Even I have the same problem. I was commenting on a post regarding effects of penguin 2.1 update and found the same error. I didn't used the word "bad" or any bad word which might hurt someone. I don't understand why this happened. I shortened the comment and then the error disappeared. Can admin please throw a light regarding this topic?

ismailaamir 04-08-2014 10:00 AM

Had this same issue, removed a few words and it went through.
Not sure which word it was, but I'm able to post now.

Try re-phrasing sentences and see what works!

I am having the same problem too and I noticed that the word F-R-E-E is considered a bad word. I'm not sure though what other words are not allowed in the forum.

Jack Powers 09-16-2014 02:39 AM

Looks like I will never be able to post anything on this forum with that error

manmohanbkd 09-16-2014 06:28 AM

I have faced this issue just now,

dantefrizzoli 09-16-2014 11:32 AM

I havent had any issues

johnj 09-22-2014 09:01 PM

I had the same problem, but things were solved when I removed the f-r-e-e word from my post. I don't know why!

bestwptheme 11-01-2014 02:19 AM

if you don't find bad word. You delete the url. you will creat a new post.

mycall 11-01-2014 11:58 PM

I have had the same "Bad" word issue... scanned my post repeatedly but could not find any objectionable or bad formatted word...

the situation forced me to do an extensive research... and I could find that the word "ac+cordingly" (used without '+') is considered as bad word... very strange... isn't it?

that led me to drill down more... and lastly found that any word containing two 'c's side by side is getting hit with "Bad" word error

try yourself and see.
