Please help me to know what is a toxic link?

In general, a Toxic back link is any link that intends to manipulate the PageRank, or the search engine results.

It can be a link to your site or an outgoing link from your site, it will be considered a toxic if Google decides it wasn’t natural and is seen as an artificial attempt to boost rankings. Toxic links are also called “unnatural links” and can be considered a violation of the Google Guidelines.



Also, creating links that weren’t editorially placed or vouched for by the site’s owner on a page, would also be called Toxic links.

I think its called as unnatural links either outbound links or inbound links in website.

According to me Toxic links is not good for any Domain.toxic linksharmful any search engine and his Page rank of Domain.

Toxic links are unhealthy links... primarily intended to manipulate SERP

for me my first check is whether the site linking to me is banned by google...

if not then looking for the number of outgoing links in that page... quantity should be minimum... can't say for sure how much is the limit... but I consider not more than 20
