Link exchange are bad for seo these days?

So how the title says link exchange are good are bad for seo these days? Is a legit action for google eyes? Let's say for example 2 sites same niche and they do link exchange... is bad or good?

stratoshear 05-07-2014 03:56 AM

I think nobody use link exchange technique now because its not give benefits.

LDNCongestion 05-07-2014 04:00 AM

Google are looking more and more into content and less into Backlinks. Matt Cutt the head of Google Spam came out and said that Google's end goal is to remove backlinks completely from the ranking equation.

This means that Google will be slowly looking less into your backlinks and more into your content

mikeyrc3 05-07-2014 11:17 PM

google is penalizing sites involves in backhat tactics

hello friend,
Link exchange was not good earlier as well. Link exchangers place link in footer, blogroll section or side so these links can be easily found. Link exchange has out dated seo technique and many websites have penalized for link exchange activity.

jobtardisport 05-08-2014 06:42 AM

Its is acceptable only for paid links i think so

Because of new google updates the link exchange is not working.

Sarahbriggs 05-14-2014 11:21 PM

I would suggest you, don't try to do it now. If you would like to survive in today's modern SEO because Google starts penalizing those who have been doing link exchange.

aakkam 05-15-2014 12:53 AM

link exchange is the good one. That will give more reputation but do that within a limit. Because Google hate such over optimization.

AvniShergill 05-15-2014 03:51 AM

It is one of the old SEO technique, and currently it is considered as Spam and not in practise.

ORLOVA 05-16-2014 03:08 AM
