Interlinking is linking your one page into another within the website.
An internal link is a link from one page to another page on the same domain.
Internal linking is what the name tells you. Google will evaluate your different pages based on internal linking structure. If one page has many links from other pages that will be seen as more valuable. The same thing goes if a page has no links at all, that page will not perform as good. The important thing is that the internal linking helps Google to understand the hierarchy of your website and therefore understand the connection between related pages.
Hope that helps. |
