Photoshop is a great place to start with the beginning phase of a web design. The UI elements can easily be created and organized into a coherent theme that will be comforting to the user. By utilizing layers, the psd mockup can allow for the isolation of key components of the design. The mockup can be given to the web developer who can implement the visual styles as code via html, css, js, ajax, php, etc. Psd mockups are a great way to share a project with your team or client, allowing either to return feedback for the improvement of the project.
