To choose the right keyword is website is an art.Selecting the right keyword is a balance between the people searching for that keyword and competition for that keyword. The best way for the keyword selection is utilizing the keyword selector tools that helps you to discover how people are actually searching for the keyword.

focus keyword

Yes it is important to use Google keyword planner.

But I have another issue: is focus keyword still important in writing your blog posts and pages?
I heard that it is still important with respect to page title and SEO-title but using a focus keyword in the content would no longer be important to Google.

Is this correct?

Go to the similar competitive site, and find some high competitive keywords to get high traffic.

Both extremes mean poor search results. When you do your research, remember that you don’t want keywords that no one searches, and you don’t want keywords that millions of people search. To improve your search engine ranking, you want to choose keywords that are in the middle–moderate search volume that suggests it’s worth your time investment to try to rank for those keywords
