PhotoShop and Snagit. These two tools might be the most common tools for a graphic designer.

To optimize an image should first save it as a web page element. Then it will ask for image optimization options like image resolution. There you can mention your web standards. Commonly we use photoshop tool for this.

The unfortunate reality is that, no matter how carefully you design your images, the graphics tool you're using will not save the finished files in the most efficient way. And so passing those images through a compression tool can reduce their size considerably.

We checked the programs for other issues, too. Were they easy to use? How fast was the compression process? And how reliable? Could a program sometimes increase an image size, for instance?

One of the easiest ways to reduce page response times is by optimizing your website images to reduce their file sizes as much as possible. Optimizing images not only makes your web pages load faster, but also reduces your bandwidth consumption, which can translate to significant savings in your hosting bills.
